Award-winning environmental peacebuilder with 15 years' experience bridging conservation, climate action, and community livelihoods. An indigenous Puntland community member, she holds an MA in Conflict Transformation (Eastern Mennonite University) and BSc in Environmental Science (Makerere University). Recognized internationally for her work, including the 2017 Women Peacebuilder for Water Prize.

Director of Conservation Science

PhD in Wildlife Ecology with 12 years of Horn of Africa experience, specializing in blending Traditional Ecological Knowledge with contemporary science to design our monitoring and research programs.

MEL Lead

The M&E Lead is the steward of our organizational learning and accountability. This role is responsible for designing the frameworks that measure not just our outputs, but the deeper impact and health of the relationships between communities and ecosystems. By transforming data into insight, they ensure our actions remain grounded in evidence, adapt based on lessons learned, and transparently communicate the story of our progress and purpose.

She oversees the creation of livelihood systems that operate in a virtuous cycle with nature, ensuring economic activities actively restore ecological health and celebrate cultural heritage, proving that community prosperity and environmental recovery can fuel one another.

Wiith an MSc from King’s College London and a background in public policy, leads our Advocacy for Systemic Change. He directs our work to transform the policies, narratives, and power structures in conservation, amplifying community voices from local councils to global forums to create an environment where indigenous stewardship is recognized and supported.

Community-Led Guardianship Pillar Leader

An indigenous community member with 13 years of experience, leads our Community-Led Guardianship pillar. He guides the crucial work of awakening and formalizing the inherent stewardship of local communities, ensuring that the people who have lived on the land for generations are recognized and supported as its most effective guardians and knowledge-holders.

Habitat & Species Revival Pillar Leader

a Senior Ecologist and botanist, leads our Reciprocal Habitat Revival efforts. He oversees the core practice of healing ecosystems through a relationship of mutual care, integrating deep scientific knowledge with traditional wisdom to ensure our restoration and protection work honors both ecological integrity and cultural significance
